Trust and data

Children’s data calls for simple rules, kept.

This page explains in plain language how CuriaVia handles your information. The detailed legal commitments are in the privacy policy.

Public and private

Two separate worlds.

What is public is so by choice; everything else is private.

  • Your household is private

Profiles, goals, planning, journal, files and reports are visible only to the household’s guardians.

  • The marketplace is public

Only resources published by creators, their previews and published reviews appear there.

  • Separate accounts

A creator account sees no family data, and vice versa.

Family data

Only what is needed, to serve you.

Your family’s data is used only to run the service.

  • No advertising, no sale of personal data.
  • Files are stored privately and served only after checking household access.
  • Private data is not kept offline on your devices.
  • The application is hosted in Germany, in the European Union.

AI

AI suggests, you validate, CuriaVia records.

Every use of AI follows the same path, and none changes a child’s progress.

  1. You trigger it

A resource analysis or the reading of an assessment.

  2. Minimal context

Only the necessary content is sent to the AI provider.

  3. Labelled suggestions

Each proposal is identified and can be dismissed.

  4. Your decision

Only validated information enters the history.

AI analyses rely on external providers that may process the content sent outside the European Union. The privacy policy names them and describes the safeguards.

Accounts and security

Robust sign-in, with no password stored by us.

We describe our principles without exposing details useful to an attacker.

  • Sign-in through a dedicated identity provider, with a verified e-mail address.
  • CuriaVia stores no password and uses its own secure session.
  • Removing a guardian revokes their sessions and household access.
  • Exchanges are encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Control

Leave with your data, or erase it.

You stay in control of what you entered.

Exercise your rights

  • Full household export from the settings.
  • Explicit deletion of a profile, a resource, a file or the whole household.
  • Limited technical retention periods, described in the privacy policy.

Marketplace

Human moderation and public rules.

Families must be able to rely on the resources offered.

Ranking and referencing

  • Every resource and every update is reviewed before publication.
  • Ranking criteria are public; no placement is paid.
  • A reporting mechanism lets you alert us to illegal content.

We target WCAG 2.2 AA on this site and in our applications.
